Need help with window !!!!
The motor and track are together in one assembly.
You need to pull the door skin, a few bolts and *****, wires (about 15 minutes) a few screws are on the bottom of the door I think.
You will find the motor assembly inside the door with the window bolted to the top of it. After you get the door open plug in the switch and watch the motor, you will most likley see the track in two or more pieces, sometimes you can slide the remaining piece back into the motor gear to engage it. If this works the motor is probably OK.
IF the track needs to be replaced you can unbolt the window from the assembly and carefully pull out the window, then unbolt the motor and track from the door and remove it.
The actual repair of the track isnt hard but you will need a big rivet and rivet gun to fasten the new track to to the assembly. and will need to drill out the old rivet to dissemble.
I know it sound s confusing but it will make a lot more sense when you get started.
On a scale of 1 - 10 its about a 5 with a 1 being dip stick check.
I'll have to wait till I have some time, I use the car as my D/D
good thing the window is up. I will Retire in March i guess I can
hold off till then.
