ZF6 swap spin-off
If yes, can these be used as donors for us?
What about their rearends... Do they run dana 44's? Are these interchangeable as well?
Thanks

Most of the ones you'll come across will have the t-56

SLP Firehawk Specs
Apparently, there were 27 ordered, 2 were cancelled.
The downside to the ZF6 was cost, and the shifter didn't fit right, so SLP had to some serious modifications to make it work.
The T56 CAN be made to fit the vette, but it requires a special bracket to mount the C-beam up.
Kiesler is selling the TKO, which is a T56 based 6spd for the C4, and it's a full blown drop in. But I don't know if they have a kit for the ZF6 conversion (it's about $3000.00 for their kit - a good deal, really).
They are also doing a 5spd conversion...
My feelings on transmission conversion:
If you are going from auto to manual:
1) ZF6 (this is the best option, really)
2) Kiesler (the 5spd doesn't require cutting, cost effective)
3) T56 (A lot of custom work)
From auto to auto for drag
1) TH350
2) TH400
3) Either with a Gear Vendors overdrive
From manual to manual:
1) Kiesler (the 5spd is a great choice to replace the 4+3)
2) ZF6
3) T56

It looks like a TKO will be the ticket, but thats noy for a while now. Will I still need the steering column from a manually equipped car? Is there a parts list of what's needed to complete the swap?

Also, the internals are not all that well made, from what I understand.
