Default 383 Stroker spark plug recommendations needed.

I was thinking about which spark plugs to use for my 383. I was thinking of starting off with some that are one step hotter than the stock L98 aluminum head recommendations from GM. I was thinking a tad hotter because of the extra cubes.

Here are the basic specs:
TFS 195 heads
Static CR 10:1
Grind - CS XR269HR-12
Duration @ 0.05 - 218/224
Lift (1.6 Rockers) - 0.528/0.536
LSA - 112

Any recommendations out there?

I think I would stick with the heat range of the plugs you have in there. I'm not up on your camshalf, but I think it would be close enough to where idle should be close and you can run the current plugs long enough to read what the engine wants. You may go hotter or colder depending on how the plugs foul/enlean, but with all those mods I think I would try to change the fewest number of parts possible until everything is up and running. So put in a new set of propperly gapped plugs of the same design and heat range. get it running and fueled properly- and THEN troubleshoot the plug conditions after you season the motor a bit.

Just my opinion though.

AC / Delco rapidfires #5 here. I would go with the stock heat range. It should be perfect for your set up. The AC / Delco rapidfires #5 are considered the same as the stock heat range. I have had them in for 800 miles and they work great. I even set in bumper to bumper traffic for over an hour at idle and they were fine, no fouling. And no missing at 7000rpm. They seem to be a great plug for bigger motor.

My LT-1 383,done by Lingenfelter, came with original heat range plugs. But they changed the gap from .050 to .035 because of the 10.8 to 1 compression.Have over 10k on them with no problems. This includes about a dozen 1/4 mile passes.

TrickFlow recommends Autolite 3924, NGK FR5, Champion RC9YC. I looked them up and they are spec'd for a 88 Vette so I will stay with those for now and do some plug readin' once I get a few miles on her after the install.
