I found a wire hanging near my transmission so I jacked up the car. The connector seeemed to be gone, and it's a blue wire on the passenger side near the starter.
Now, NEAR the starter and oil pan there is a sensor with a nipple looking connector on the end of it. I'm assuming that this is where the blue wire plugs in, but what is it?
It's not my knock sensor, that's located (If I'm correct) between my 6*8 plug wires on the passsenger side. I just got through connecting that b/c its connector was undone. If I'm wrong in assuming that it is the knock sensor, then what is it?
It IS the knock sensor if it's about an inch above the oil pan gasket surface. The item in the right head you describe, is either the dash temp gauge sending unit, or the switch for your aux fan, depending on the year of the car, which you failed to mention.
