Default 2 Problems after rebuild

I finally got my '92 Vert back after the rebuild on the engine. Now, although the visual CAGS warning isn;t showing up, I'm having a problem getting the car out of 1st gear. I still need to research the things going on when it happens and when it doesn't - but about 80% of the time would be a good guess.
Also, and maybe these are related, the "Service ABS" light came on also.
Of course, neither problem existed when I dropped the car off work 4 months back.
BUT, it sounds much meaner now
I can't wait to do the 500 mile break-in, but the synthetic oil back in and take it to the track!
Of course, I'll need that shifting problem fixed if I want to get some good times in the quarter.

Hm... check the hydraulics. I would be willing to bet they are low, or need bled.

As for the ABS light... you need to pull codes.

email me.

That makes sense.... for the ABS, I seem to remember 3 plugs ubderneath the car, one was disconnected and wrapped to do the fast CAGS workaround. I wonder if the 3 could be misconnected somehow?

quite possible.... there should only be one harness unplugged for the CAGS, and that is at the transmission.

Ahh, I didn't even get to investigate. Car would not start this morning. After several normal turns, I gave the peddle a nudge andcould get it started and running by keeping the gas up. With a 6-speed, turning from a stop leads to stalling unless I'm lucky and nimble.
As I did not change the chip out from what the car had prior to the rebuild, I guess I need to get a tuner, although it could be some bad wiring, could be the new Dynaspark is bad .... could be something else or all of the above.

Reverse Light switch (top left side)
Vehicle Speed Sensor (rear left side)
CAGS (center left side)

All have vastly different connector ends. No way to screw them up.

Good to hear that it isn't fouled up. I'll make sure the light on the console illuminates when I next go to start the car to see if that is working. Maybe they reconnected it and since I've had it off for 99% of the time I've owned the car, I forgot what happens.
