Help! Car wont start?
Well I went out and tried starting my car today and the battery was dead. So before I Jump start it I notice that I am kind of low on gas so I get 5 dollars worth of gas to put in it which gives me about a quarter of a tank. Well after all of that I let it juice up a little bit and try turning it over and its acting like its wanting to fire up but it wont. Me and my dad tried spraying starting fluid in the throttle body while I was tryin to start it and it would half way start but die when he would quit spraying? It seem like the engine is not getting any fuel because it is turning over just fine. Anybody think they might know what could be wrong?

given the info. you supplied, here are my initial thoughts:
-Fuel Pump has gone bad
-Clogged Fuel Filter
Get a Fuel Pressure gauge and attach to shrader valve on Fuel Rail. You should see around 42psi on your gauge. When was the last time you started the engine?

Can't be VATS because the starter cranks the engine. Engines need fuel, air, spark to start and run. You don't have one or more of these. Check for fuel pressure, check for spark and spark at the right time. Pull an injector connector and jump a low power 12v lamp (or a NOID lamp from an auto parts place) across the wiring harness plug on that injector and crank the engine. The lamp should pulse. From your description I think you have spark but no fuel.
