It's finally time to get a chip burned for my car. The order forms ask about timing +/-, and other items I have no idea of. Any suggestions?

Bowersock if your EGR is blocked off then you would want your EGR off. As far as timing goes I would let that up to the guy burning the chip for you. If your not sure about some things enclose a sheet with your mods listed on it when you send your chip just like you posted them on here. Include your phone# that way if he has any questions he can call ya. A guy on the forum who goes by SKI DWN IT (Jesse Azzato) burns custom chips and is very good at it. He will also re burn it if you make more mods to the car at no charge. Check him out www. azzato chips. com GOOD LUCK
If the guy burning your chip is asking you about your timing, I'd think twice about using him. As Pipe stated, he should decide what the timing should be based on the modifcations made to your car.
I used a company called Exotic Muscle when I had mine burned, and I have no problems. If there's a forum member who burns them and other members praise his work, you might want to think about having him do it.
Jesse, Ski_dwn_it is the guy to go for. he burned my brothers chip any many of the fast cars on the forum including his. 10.2 his best
I have not dealt with Ski_dwn_it so I can't say much about him as far as his ships go other then I hear good things.
I use PCMFORLESS And I'm happy so far with the chip, but will know more in the spring when I can get it on the dyno. I did ask here and a F-body forum about them and I didn't get one bad reply. Everone had only good things to say about them.
If the chip burner is asking you to set the time, stay away from them. Alvin at pcmforless does all his chips on a dyno and uses those to compile the right setups. And he's very good to deal with. Give them a list of your mods and let him figure out what needs to be set.
I had my chip burned by Ski-dwn-it last summer when I had my 383 Stroker built and it was done perfect. He will ask for a list of your mods and probably half the money you are paying the other company and a week later you are on the road!

85 horse - you are probably running my chip in your car. I have done some of Merle's tunes for him in the past. Can't say for sure it was one of yours, but good likely-hood. He said it ran like a raped-ape with the tune.
