Just a rant - New Meziere WP301 electric water pump has anti-freeze leaking out the rear of the pump.
Thank goodness a friend of mine lent me a coolant system tester. At 17 pounds of pressure the pump leaks. I know that sh*t happens - but why me. Now the engine start-up has to wait
Corkvette and I took the pump off and checked all bolts for tight - reinstalled and it still leaks.
Looks like I have to call tech and complain a bit - I only have a month to get my beast running.
At least you didn't buy it from a chain store, because then when you go back, they'd test it, and tell you that you have no clue what you're doing because the expensive water simulator machine said the pump is fine

I hear that, but I still have an urge to shake/strangle somebody
Sent an email racepartsolutions.com early this morning and we have emailed back and forth at least twice to see about getting this resolved. I do not expect any problems - I just had to rant.
PS - check out their prices on pumps - if not listed email and he will get back to you. They beat Summit by +20 and it was drop shipped immediately. I went with black and originally summit said it would take weeks to receive before I canceled and went with racepartsolutions.
Kwik_TA - besides modifying the alternator and A/C brackets to to fit the new water pump - We (Corkvette1 and I ) ok, Corkvette1 recommends buying some gasket material and make new gaskets without the lower bypass holes and use plenty of sealer. The new pump has less material to seal below and around the bypass holes. Our first install had water pouring out of the passenger side bypass hole before pressure was ever applied.
Sorry to hear about this... I'll tell ya', though, that's the #1 reason that I just stick with GM stuff on parts like that - it's just not worth the risk of a headache over a few HP.
