did you check the clutch master cylinder fluid level? is there any fluid leaking from either the slave or master cylinder? definitely sounds like a hydraulic problem.

You have a leaking clutch slave cylinder like a lot of us. Right now you can just refill the reservoir and pump it a few times to get back under way. The reservoir is under the computer.

The master cylinder reservoir won't take very much fluid so you will need to recheck it regularly. If it goes down rapidly ( needs refilling before summer) you will need the slave replaced.

Thanks guys, I haven't checked the fluid level doh! I'll try that first and go from there. Does it use the same fluid as the brake system?

Yes, it's brake fluid.

the GM fluid has some antisqueak lube in it but it is indeed basically brake fluid. i use Valvoline DOT3/4 (Synpower?) in mine.
