Valve SPRING .. update.. part #2
just i note: researched valve spring applications...
if changing RR'S or cams with a higher lift. it is recommended to change springs
stock cam spec L98, 87-89 I=.447 E=.447 , .217 , 236 @113
ther are several different types to consider:
1) comps 981-16....77.75 CAN
2) cranes WG 2620...37.34 CAN
3) Clevit 212-1178...(119.00 CAN ..stock (heavy duty)
4) locks 11/32.. set 7.09 CAN
all are rated to max lift of .510 with closed seat pressure of 104-108 PSI(stock 74 -84 PSI)
at installed hieght of 1.700. inside coil D of .801..wire size= .198 this added seat pressure insures that vavles operate with out float to a higher than stock RPM and willing prevent coil binding for those .510 lift applications..be sure to change locks 11/32".use old retainers (if you like).above all no, extra machining is involved.
