Outside of the RD Racing billet mount - which is nice yet a tad expensive at $80 + ship - is there an easier way to fix or upgrade the gas pedal and mount? I realized I'm not getting full TB openening because the edge of the gas pedal is hitting the floorboard! The pedal will "wiggle" probably 1/2" side to side, and one way is enough to cause interference and reduce travel.
I also have the RD Racing billet pedals that are partially to blame, but aside from that is there an affordable Forum Fix?
the cable is not adjustable- and besides the cable is not the problem (it has enough length and freeplay at the throttle plates). THe problem is the pedal itself being wobbly enough to kind of kink to the side while pivoting and then hit the floorboard. If it was a tighter fit into the mount (meaning the rivot / pivot point) then it wouldn;t be as much of an issue...
If you have 1/2 side play in your pedal, it is only a matter of time before the mount breaks, do yourself a favor and replace the mount before it breaks. Remember, when the mount breaks they is a chance the pedal can becoem lodged under the break pedal, which, could cause a stopping problem.
When I first design the pedal mount, I was selling them at my cost to recover some of my investment, the pedal mount that is sold by DB and Mid-America is the mount that I designed and manufacture.
My agreement with DB is such that DB is the official retailer of the mount.

Jesse,
Give me a call on a pedal mount. CF members do get a 10% discount.
On your RD Racing billet pedals, are you sure you have the name correct. We do not make or sell any billet pedals.

My bad, sorry Dave, I have no idea who DB is, I guess that show's what kind of morning I am having.
Mike
So outside of MA Designs, how would we get ahold of "DB?" Any idea, or are my two choices MA Designs (too much of a markup and don't like them) or Forum Sponsor Dave at RD Racing? Guess I've made my choice....
