Passive Keyless Entry, again!
Well, I put a new PKE module in a coupla weeks ago and programmed two brand new fobs. Shoulda spent the money on headers, but I like all my gadgets to work.
Two issues; the fobs seem to lose their programming after sitting around a few hours. Now, I haven't been driving the car much lately because of all the snow we've been getting in Northern AZ and I travel a lot on the job. Could the batteries in the fobs be old because they sat around a dealer's shelf for years?
The other is that in the owner's manual there are instructions for turning the system off/on and to set it for the passenger door. It doesn't seem to work. I found to program the fobs, I have to hold down the eng guage button in for a loooong 10 seconds. Is there some secret to the on/off/passenger door programming?
