Default Radiator Hoses

On my 92 I had installed a 160 t-stat by Hypertech and a new chip by Ed Wright for the fans but should the heat through the up & lower hose be realitivly the same to the touch ?? I noticed that the heater hose also are not fairly equal to the touch while the heater was going full blast with the car running (80degrees seems like 60). Have new ACDelco waterpump, ACDelco temp sensors, new hoses, new coolant, 2 year old radiator, runs like new but not sure if mechanic followed bleeding procedures??? What is the best way to make sure all the air is out of the system ??

The thermostat has no control over hot the engine will, or can run. It only controls how cool it can run. The lower fan, on, temp can help make it run cooler than it has. The lower temp stat, alone, only prolongs the critical warm up period.

The thermostat only opens and closes allowing the fluid to pass through the radiator or not. It does not affect the temperature once the car is up to the operating range.

Or technically, above the stat opening temp. Once the stat is open, it's out if the picture.

Sort of true. If it's really cool outside, the thermostat is constantly adjusting to try to keep the temperature of the water in its range. In any case, royzo, if the car is not overheating, runs good, it's probably OK.

Yes. If it's cold enough, out and you have sufficient air flow through the radiator. That is a fairly unusual circumstance with a 160* stat. But that is why in my first post, I stated:
