Default Oil pan clearance

Anybody using an aftermarket oil pan on their C4 want to help me out at all? I am wondering what dimension of oilpan will give me sufficient oil capacity and sufficient ground clearance, without breaking the bank.

7qt at 7-1/2" deep max, you can go deeper, but it's scary that close to the ground

So at 7-1/2" everything clears? Full suspension travel and everything?

What part number Champ pan do you run? Any problems with header clearance?

Thanks.

I have run the CP 100, nice pan no problems, and then changed to the CP 50, nice pan a little deeper.

I just bought the TPIS 7qt. pan. It has a trap door and a windage tray plus a magnetic drain plug. It was $185 not too bad. Gold irridite finish to match my timing chain cover. Won't know if it will clear my Headers till the new motor gets put in. Thats a hell of a time to find out huh?
