Would anyone here ever consider throwing a 5-speed into a 92... What are the differences between a 5-speed and a 6-speed, besides an extra gear, will the extra gear really be needed, the car doesnt really see much drive time, let alone highway driving... Just wondering aboput all your thoughts...
why? The TKO costs about the same as a good rebuild of a ZF6.
The ZF is still the better box.
The reasons I wanted to go TKO are,,,
I know the TKO 600 is rated at 600 TQ, the gears ratios are very close to a doug nash 4+3, 4th gear is a 1:1, and there is no 6th gear which is hardly ever used by most people and you dont hear complaints about noise, and lastly, you can still use the conventional push type clutch which costs less and is less prone to failure due to the hydraulics.
