Default What's this?

There is a plug w/a 2 prong head that goes to my master cylinder between the resivoirs. Does anyone know what this plug controls?
thanks

I think it is part of the ABS, not positive though.

The connector on the master cylinder is part of a switch that is triggered by a piston that moves when there is a significant pressure differential between the front and rear sections of the master cylinder. This can happen when a brake line or hose bursts or becomes ruptured. The switch activates a "Brake" warning light on the dash.

Mine looks like it got a little melted. Perhaps it came off during operation and fell onto the manifold or something. Whoever owned the car before me tried to fix it, but when I looked inside the connector it didn't appear to be able to make good connection. I never had a brake warning light or any codes and the brakes seem to work fine. I have had to add a little brake fluid a couple times, but just too keep it full. I guess it's not too serious then. I'll check with the dealer to get that connector.
