Assuming '86 and '87 are pretty much the same, did you change the MAF sensor relay and the power relay when you changed MAF? They are only about $11.00 ea. They are mounted behind battery on firewall, on my car. If you replace, disconnect battery first (this will also clear code). After replacing and reconnecting battery, start car and idle for about 4-5 min. to see if it throws a code 34 again.
To quote part of "the book", "A code 34 may be caused by an engine that exhibits a low, rough, unstable or incorrect idle problem. If this condition exists, disconnect the MAF sensor. If the idle improved with the sensor disconnected, replace it" (which you say you have done). " With the MAF sensor disconnected, the ECM should see a high signal voltage and set a code 33. If a code 34 resets, then the wiring or ECM is at fault".
Check for a loose or damaged, split, air duct between MAF and throttle body. "Code34 can also be from a dirty or misadjusted throttle body".
Remember to disconnect battery for 2 min or so when adjusting or replacing parts, so that existing codes will clear.

Did you clear the old code?
You might also check the Memcal number and post it up here. I found that the BUA1728 is a replacement for some of the earlier vers for the reason of throwing false MAF codes.

I got a code 34 which is a maf on my 86 vette I replace it with a new bosch maf and I till have the same code any suggestion?
Randy,
Just went through this with my 87 ... culprit was the ECM throwing a false 34 code (as well as three others). Once the ECM was replaced it threw a 36 (MAF burnoff relay) which proved to be intermittent (code thrown on third start after replacement). As long as you have to disconnect the relay connector and unbolt the bracket you have both in hand ... I replaced both as a precaution and it cleared it up. Put 500 miles on her this week (two long work-related road trips) ... idle is still a bit rough (but not wandering) ... still have that tuneup ahead of me. But no codes thrown.
