i have a zex kit being installed on a 91 auto 383 stroker hp'tq rated 450/500 crank. i can go with a 75,100,125, or 150 shot. i had planned to start with a 75 shot and work my way up. how far can i go and be safe? all forged internals. 224/224 cam 112lobe. also if i do a 75 shot will that be 75hp at the wheel on a dyno or is it 80% at wheel. what about tq would i get 75 more ft.lbs. thanks jeff

You would have to contact NX .
I know the barry grant kit is rear wheel hp.
My NX kit is never the power it should be .
If I put the two together the NX is not what they claim.
You have 112 lobe and forged innerds.
Don't worry about the motor the trans and rear will be the down fall.
The motor should take a 300 shot at the least.
you need 627 rear HP to break into the 10's.
538 HP to run low 11's.
I run race gas 106 unleaded,1 1/2 degree retard for every 50 shot.
I richen to go slow lean to go fast.
2 ways to do that cold bottle richens . hot bottle and increase fuel presure richens both will make you slower.
Get a bottle heater and nitrous digital presure gauge and the times will be real consistant.
I would start with a 75 shot the car should run an easy 12 sec.
turn it on after 1st gear to make sure every thing is working.
The car will take a 75 shot right off the line and the trans and rear will hold that, even a 100 shot.
Same power you get from a turbo or supercharger.
After a 125 shot every thing changes.
Run race fuel and cut back the timing by 3 deg.
6 deg at 150 shot and 8 deg on a higher shot.
Any funny noise from the exaust or a power drop off shut it down .
When you use 125 shot just hang on ,big diff at that power level and the tires need to be wide and hook good.
I forgot one thing ,the HP is not a power curve , it is right now ! and the engine will not build to that HP .Just be ready and dont let go of the wheel.
