Do I really need to up my TB to a 58 or is the 52 big enough?????
396 LT4, stage II heads/intake, 233/240 cam, 11.1 comp.,headers, 3"cats and exhaust.........:con fused:

I dynoed my 383 with the 48 mm and later with the 58 mm TB...it made no difference in power (which just may mean it's not tuned enough to where the TB is the bottleneck, YMMV.)

It _did_ improve off idle performance as less throttle was necessary to allow a certain amount of air to flow.

it is having an idle problem...starts around 500 then finally (sometimes) comes up to where it should be.

Do you know how to set the IAC (Idle Air Control) and initial throttle opening? Who did your re-programming for fuel/timing maps?
