Headlight Door Not Staying Open
My one headlight opens all the way but then it falls back to about half way. Sometimes it doesn't even open all the way. The motors are both working and there is no unwanted clicking or grinding sound I have read about. I checked for an obstruction but it was clear. The manual **** doesnt seem to open but will close. Do you think the gears are worn. If I stand outside and help the headlight door open it will usually stay open but the other door that works seems stiffer. Is there an adjustment or is the motor going or are the bushings

Have you done a search yet? There are a lot of threads on HL repair including by me. Find those threads and see which apply. Most often what you have are indeed powdered bushings, but the last one I did had bushings gone and a broken gear.
