With this Gp, I'm also going to offer a new hybrid Cross-frame. It is basically the same frame without the center bridge plates. The installer will have to weld the center section together. I have installed a couple Cross-frames this way on racers to give them increased ground clearance and they have been very pleased. Pricing will be the same as the standard Cross-frame.
Please give me a call to take part of the Gp or if you have any questions.

Here's a bump for you Dave...
I have the Cross Bar and I can vouch for it's functionality... I owned my previous Vette for 5 years without removing the targa top because the body flex was so bad...
After adding the Cross Bar, I almost never put the top back on...
The Cross Bar now sits on my garage floor waiting to be mounted to my new 96...
Hi Dave,
Back when I bought my camber brace I asked if these were an upgrade for verts (that already come with one) or just for coupes. I seem to remember you telling me that they would not mount to a vert.
Did I understand that right?
And, will your new hybred work (and, would you think it would be any better than the stock piece)?

We've had several customers install Cross-frames under their verts now because they wanted a stronger piece. You just have to install the nutserts like you would have to on a coupe. We supply the nutserts with each frame.
The hybred will work also if you have access to a welder to install it.
We'll be doing a hybrid installation in the shop in the next week or two. We'll take some step by step pictures at that time. Basically, you install one section of the cross and then mark to other section where it crosses the first, cut and weld the second section to the first section. By doing this, the Cross-frame is for that car only and will not fit any other cars. It really adds to the strenght of the frame to prevent any flexing. Plus you gain 3/8 to a 1/2" clearance in the center of the frame which is where it always drags.
You can still slam your car, but you will drag the frame a lot. It is designed to take a lot of abuse knowing that it was going to be in a danger zone.
A 1/2" would be no problem. You simply mark the Cross-frame where you need the clearance and dent the tubing in that area. It actually comes with one dent in it already to clear the factory system.
