Looked for past posts, no info. Does anyone have experience with installation on A4, 96 C4? Specifically is there a special kit required for our ABS/Traction Control? Any help with wiring the dummy light to the existing brake dummy light in the dash. Looking at the Hurst Roll Control for about $100. Thanks, Ron
I recall previous posts that there is a separate installation kit that works great. Why the Holley? the Biondi is only $40 and it is rebuildable. Just curious.
85 Vet, Will continue looking for past posts. Only reason I'm looking at Hurst is I know the name. I will look at the Biondi. Anyone else have input? Thanks, Ron
I have the Hurst line lock...can't help you with the install though...my mechanic put it in gratis when he was doing the D44 swap...he did use the little red light that comes with the kit and mounted it under the dash to the right of the steering wheel...he mounted the button on the shift lever but, to avoid accidental engagement, installed a toggle switch out of site under the dash to the left of the steering wheel...I didn't want the system armed when I was just driving around....ABS is not a problem, btw....
you need to install it between the master cylinder and ABS unit I'll have to look under my hood to tell you which port out of the master it is but I'm 67% sure its the aft port.
I no longer have an ASR/ABS unit in the car so my pictures wont help.
when I had ABS/ASR I mounted the solnoid on the left front wheel well just above the frame.
All, Thanks. Good input. I looked under drag racing and found most don't use it at the line, which is where I thought I would use it. Most drivers only use it for burnouts. I am looking to increase my launches and reduce ET/RT. As of now my, RTs range in the .054-.056. I thought if I could load the RPMs a little more the line loc would hold it, and I could launch quicker. Thanks, Ron
