The 85 ECM lacks flexibility and only Corkvette as far as I know, has had success with it, ther could be others.

Ski's tune was probably as good as it gets, but I think you have a whole lot left on the table with your 383,,,,,, low 14's is ridiculous and high 12's very low 13's is more likely, depending on you cam specifics!

Your too far along to turn back now $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Check out my sig for specs: The cam has 525 lift and 280 duration!

(sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread!!!)

There are MANY that have 85 ECM and are going quick. Yes Corky is, so is 85vet (jim), Ralph, Beach Bum (todd), and a few others that I can't think of off the top of my head.

Yeah the ECM lacks in "output" but its just as fast as another of the others with regards to controlling the motors parameters, and as I said before, the ECM does not interfere with SMOG intended parameters such as WOT fuel trims due to closed loop inputs. That in itself for a performance car is worth its weight in gold. Much along the line of a DFI system. Remember, these ECMs are for 1 thing truely - emission control. The newer they are, the more garbage they will incorporate to meet stricter controls.
