I know yall (YOU ALL) are getting tired of me asking the same question..BUTT my power steering hose is leaking, it seems to be the high pressure one. Went to NAPA order one had fittings on both ends...From what I can see mine are just two rubber hoses with clamps on them. The high pressure hose is a 3/8 hose inside a metal sleeve with a 1/2 piece of hose double up a the top going to the bottom of the reservoir with two clamps..Stop scratching your head there is more.............The other hose is just a 3/8 piece of hose..MAM as a hose that says STEERING PUMP TO RACK & PINION is this what I need or do I need a new reservoir.. SORRY BOGUS ---A 1994 CORVETTE

The high pressure hose is the one that goes from the pump to the rack. The other 1 or 2 hoses(depending on year) are low pressure moulded hoses. The low pressure moulded rubber hoses are dirt cheap compared to the pressure hose. I usually change all of them and use new clamps. This makes it a once and done project.
On my car the pressure hose has inverted flare fittings at both ends. A hose clamp affair won't hold up to the pressure output of the pump. As it was said, there is the pressure hose from the pump to the rack, and two plain, clamped, hoses on the low pressure side. One from the rack to the reservoir and the other from the reservoir to the pump. What year?
Thank you so so much.......It is (was) driving me crazy........So what I have is low pressure hose leaking, so I will go tomorrow and get this out of the way....While I'm in and under the ole girl I'm going to find this high pressure hose and change it to...As always you guys and gals are always here...Every time I have had a problem yall always get me thru it ...THANK YOU................
