You're posting in the wrong forum and didn't say what year Vette you have.
If this is for your 92, SYS indicates the CCM has detected an electrical problem
To get the error code use a piece of wire or paper clip
and short pin A to G.
Connector above the driverside knee looks like this.
|F|-|-|C|B|A|
|G|-|J|K|L|M|
Turn the ignition on. (Don't start the engine).
Look at the LCD in the center of the dash cluster.
The codes will cycle.
Module 1 CCM
Module 4 ECM
Module 9 ABS
C12 means no CCM errors
---- indicates no errors for the other modules.
Write down the error code/codes and for what module and repost.
If no errors are displayed for the CCM module, the battery most likely has a low charge.

What pins do you use on the 94-95 cars? I get the SYS light everytime I plug in my datacable. Last time I tried to tune the car with that on it fried the computer and I have been very hesitant to put a new tune in because I don't want to do that again. This happened 3 years ago and I still have the same battery going strong.

I was wondering what would happen if u shorted the pins and "started the engine"? ive noticed that everyone says dont, Dont, DONT turn engine on.. bold.. italics.. ect. just wondering what would happen...
