[Pics] My custom Flowmaster Header-Back

Parts List:
Heddman Header Xtensions
Part #18804 = $22
Flowmaster Y-Collector
Part #Y250300a = $40 (two of these)
Dynomax Race Bullet
Part #24222 = $36
Summit 16-guage Mandrel U-Bend
Part #622003 = $17 (two of these)
Parts Total = $172
This of course would be more money, if you wanted to substitue a Catalytic Converter in place of the race bullet. Also, you'll have to add in a set of tips, or use your stock tips.
This system is entirely mandrel bent, it took the guys at the muffler shop 2 hours to get it all on and put together (Charge $50 an hour). I specifically told them I did NOT want them to bend any pipes, but instead, just cut and weld my mandrel bends, to make it work. (I had already drawn out on paper what I wanted them to do.)
IMHO, this is THE BEST exhaust system for an L98, bar NONE. Many people might argue that this exhaust would be too loud for their taste, but for those people, I invite them to drive my car. Only under 100% WOT, is it noticeable. During daily driving, even a guy who drives another vette, asked me if my exhaust was stock or what?
Also, another IMHO, for $300 (YMMV) this system just happens to be the cheapest Header-Back exhaust for our 84-91's.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
You never know................I know of a few L98s with similar mods that are running those numbers and better
Josh,
On the note of True Duals...I did it this way, because I plan to put the cat back on, so it will pass emissions. Also, having the crossover in the system is SUPPOSED to make more power...

I'll draw up a sketch, in the parts list, it shows all the pipe sizing. It's all 2½", then 3" (single part) then back to 2½".
On the note of the X-pipe and bullet muffler. I wanted to see if it would, because the actual inside of the bullet muffler is 4" (baffling, of course) So it goes from dual 2½" into 3" into a 4" OD bullet, then back to 3" and then out to dual 2½". Just thought I'd try something different, without spending $$$. To tell you the truth, I love the sound, it's entirely different than any other L98 I've ever heard.

Also, you should post this on every Corsa thread.
There's half of a used cat-back Corsa on ebay that has a reserve above $400, one crushed muffler.Exhaust systems are WAY overpriced for something without moving parts.
