Antenna died
The power antenna on my 93 is stuck in the up position. When I turn the radio on and off I hear the antenna motor cycle. In reading my Helms I think that the plastic cable is probable broken. Any one have any experience with this happening and what is it like to replace the antenna mast? Also is this just a standard power antenna that was common to a lot of models? And is the replacement mast available from regular auto parts stores or will I have to go to GM, Ecklers, or Corvette Central. I am hoping it is available locally so I dont have to pay shipping to get it.

If your motor is still running you should be able to get away with just the mast. Mine used to run somewhat and then it completley crapped out. I don't know if the motor just burned itself up or if the pieces of cable completely clogged up the works or what. Someday I'll investigate, it's just a real pain to get to. For the trouble required to take it out I think I'd just assume replace it honestly.

If the motor is running you just need a new mast and they are $10 on e-bay. I went with a new OEM antenna from LDC for $100. Here is the link for the mast.
