Lite up like a Christmas tree.
"Service ASR", "ASR Off", "Service ABS" all came on at the same time. WOW.
Last night I checked my fluids and refilled the hydraulic clutch reservoir, which involves unfastening and swinging the computer out of the way. Could it be something as simple as a loosened connector? Did I set it down and break something? (The car was cold at the time). Do these alarms have something in-common? Help.
Has anyone had a similar problem? Suggestions are greatly appreciated.
The level sensor in the MC is hyper sensitive and will turn on those warning lights if your brake fluid drops far enough because of normal wear of the pads. Check your pads and rotors to make sure they are up to par. If they are, then check the fluid level and make sure it's fine.
I say not to add fluid because if you do, then you replace your brake pads you'll overflow the MC and make a nasty mess. It's kinda a "hey buddy you might want to check your brakes" feature.
I am still confused as to why the ASR alarms would come on if it was low brake fluid?
One thing interseting - it will really surprise you when all those lights come on when driving in the pitch-black pre-dawn...those things are bright!

[QUOTE]
The ASR/ABS disables to prevent air from entering the system if activated during a low fluid condition.
The level was just below the fill line. I checked all the pads and though wearing a bit, looked to be fine (for a while at least), and looked for apparent leaks.
Then I went to adjust the fluid level. It took only about 1 oz to get it to the minimum requirement, so I stopped there to test the theory...and sure enough. No alarms. Returned and filled it to just above the line.
Very sensitive indeed!
Just wanted to follow-up for others that may incur the same "problem".
Thanks for all your help.

Ideally you would replace all the pads and all the rotors and then fill it up to where it is supposed to be. Brake fluid isn't generally a consumable fluid so you shouldn't technically have to add any. If your brakes have been bled though and never topped off it could account for it being low.
