Cylinder head torque specs?
Hey folks, I tried the search function, but it's taken about 10 minutes now, and it's still searching. I'm looking for torque specs for the L98 aluminum heads. On my cast iron heads, I torqued them initially to 40, then retorqued to 60, but I'm thinking the torque specs might be different for aluminum heads. Thanks in advance folks!

I am going to replace the iron heads on my 85 with AFR aluminum heads. Have them in the back room still in the box for another week or two. AFR suggests torque to 65-70 ft/lbs. INITIAL TORQUE 40 ft/lbs then increase by 10 ft/lbs increments to final torque. Moly lube should be applied between fasteners, washers and area around head bolt to prevent falling and improper torque values.

The torque value is dependent as well on what you coat the threads with. Make sure you know what your torque values are for.
