can i get a recommendation on what to put in the tank for dropping CO levels at 2500rpm. i've heard of some of you guys using an alcohol based addative to run super clean. a friend of mine needs to pass with his 82' 350 4x4 chevy truck and its so close its not cool! his truck is all emissions legal but would like to toss in some alcohol.i told him don't do it until we get a good answer from some of the experts on what to do. any comments?
thanks in advance.
mike, there is a product out there called 'quaranteed to pass'.
DO NOT USE IT....i used it as mine didn't pass, and it made it worse. took 3-4 tanks to get it all out.

I tried that garbage too.
Is your friend being called into a test only facility? Has he tried getting that sucker HOT first?
thanks friends. i wont' that product for sure. he brought it into a reputable shop that does more than smogs. its not a smog only place. the truck wasn't hot when they tested it either.it sat all day for them to test it and we dont' know if they let it warm up or not. probobly didn't let it get warm. we will tell em' we are in a hurry and have to wait i guess. mabye we will do a few passes in the 1/4 first then bring it in for testing then it should be hot!
