whats it sound like in the cockpit from a 20 punch on DR's at over 200 degrees she was still breaking them loose if she was at 160 like she is most of the time a 20 punch gets ugly sometimes
I love the plate, don't the cops drive around with dB meters to give tickets for noise abatement laws! Sounds absolutely beautiful!!! Great video!
I know here in central FL, they really use those DB meters for coffee can equipped rice cars with over engineered lawn mower or chain saw motors, but they don't mind the sound of Good ole' American iron. I bet if I ran an open header setup, they'd be cool. Just look at the Harleys. The only thing about those bikes is that they come from the factory already pretty loud with open pipes.
just wait till i do the 388 stroker with big cam when i finally do true duals maybe next year i am gonna find the quietest mufflers i can find then run electric dumps just past the headers thumbs:
surprisingly enough when i put them on i thought it would still be super loud but it's not until you get behind the car. from my old setup i had dumps right off the rear Y pipe so it was hitting the ground and bouncing back up into the car. with the windows up it was hard to have conversations with my lady friends.
now it sounds like the car is muffled more than it is inside the cockpit. i can actually talk on the cell phone and hear people with out letting off the gas
this is how my old setup looked. long tube headers gutted cat and dumps

cops around here and cool if your in a domestic. i've revved up while they were at the gas station when i pulled up and asked them how it sounded and they always say "Dayum! that sounds Good!"
i've only been pulled over once for exhaust and i got a warning when a fart canned honda when buzzing by. that cop was a *******! other than that they always say it sounds good and i've had no problems. as long as i'm putting around and keeping it under 3500 rpm it's not really that loud at all.
i liked the clean look of the dumps by not having mufflers extend past the rear bumper but i sorta like the look of the LT1 tips as it looks stock
this is what she sounded with the dumps. this is when i finished the install of the TPiS long tubes. sorry for the choppiness of the vid but the sound quality is still good. had to reformat my ole computer when i did this vid.
to me it sounded alittle raspy but with the chambered muffler eliminators it doesn't! just wish i had more time to drive Sweet Sin before i had to drop her off at the paint shop.
That is a great sound. Now I am convinced that's the way TO GO.
So many have paid a lot of $$$, on various muffler installations ($$$ down the drain)
Thanks for the input!
i tried the KBD's but went back to dumps. didn't like the look and wanted something more stock.
