Recommend checking this vacuum line
On my '95 the vapor canister purge solenoid is mounted to the right of the throttle body and a short rubber elbow line runs from the solenoid to the throttle body. Mine has a lot of dry cracks and upon removal and inspection, I found that it indeed had a deep crevice on the underside where it goes on the nipple on the throttle body such that I was afraid it would split upon re-install. If it wasn't a vacuum leak yet it was going to be a big one soon...
Needless to say, took a trip to a local Chevrolet dealer's parts counter for a replacement. The gasket for that black plastic cover plate on the throttle body was also in bad shape on my car, so I ordered up a throttle body gasket kit as well.
Heh heh, I didn't stop there either. The rubber boot on the end of the PCV breather tube that connects to the throttle body was getting sloppy loose from age, so I ordered up a new breather tube. You can't get just the rubber boot for the end that connects to the throttle body, have to buy the whole tube. $5 part, no biggie.
