Ecklers front end rebuild kit
Hi all
Anyone have any experience with the components that Ecklers has in this kit. When I replace ball joints I don't want to be doing it 6 months from now because of low quality components. I asked who makes these parts and the customer service rep said ACC Corvette.
Thoughts appreciated.

ACC? Auto Custom Carpets?? I think that the Eckler's person you talked to is on something. 
You should be able to find quality front end components locally or from internet sources. MOOG is a well-known brand that has been around for a long time and I think they supply components to a lot of NASCAR teams. Try Summit Racing www.summitracing.com for ball joints and tire rod ends. Also try NAPA for good components.
Van Steel has good suspension components and they are a Forum Supporting Vendor.

I went with the $200 eckler's set- and I doubt there's much of a difference than what you would get at the local parts store. MOOG is probably a step up but I had difficulty finding the right parts for the right prices (All I could find at summit were INNER tie rod ends).
I can't say that I was disappointed, but I think I probably just would have went through the local parts stores for the warranties and ease of replacement SHOULD they wear out sooner. Be sure to use some good lube on them though.
