Who do you guys recommend to make repairs on the cluster? 3 of my 4 analog guages are acting very "funny". I will be checking their "common" grounds and connector to the harness. But Murphy's Law lives at my house so I'm just getting my ducks lined up in advance.
Thanks
They do GM authrorized digital cluster work and I was given the contact through a local Chevy dealer in Dublin CA. I have an 85 and I am not sure what the cluster differences are. The only mechanical part on mine is the odometer. I ended up having a bad power supply, but they went through the entire cluster, replaced bulbs pin connectors, re-soldered everything. Had it back in the car the next day, with a 1 year warranty, and it is working great.
There are some cheaper repair deals out there on the internet...but once you factor in shipping... and down time and the long distance relationship with any warranty work, I think this place is a good option for NorCal owners.
Just to pass along some info...I called these guys that LangstC4 recommended. http://www.sotelectronics.com I talked with "Chirs" who seemed knowledgable and took the time to discuss my particular problem. He gave me a price of $25 to check it out, and if it needed repairs, the cost would be between $125-175. They also advised they had replacments if it was unreparable for around $160....+ shipping. They do GM warentee work so they probably know what's what on these things. All the above was for my 92.
