ZR1 Wheels

As I mentioned in the above thread, AFS Wheels and OE Wheels are the two leading sellers of aftermarket ZR-1 style wheels and most everyone seems to be satisfied with those wheels.
Guess I don't understand why a different company has come out with a wheel that does not have the same specs as factory wheels or like AFS or OE. I don't know if the A356 aluminum alloy this company uses is any different that what AFS or OE uses, but it would be interesting to see if this alloy is suitable for use or is the same alloy others use.
I looked at the wheels on CustomWheels website and I noticed that some of the prices are much lower on comparable wheels from AFS and OE. While saving money is a good thing, I would have some concerns about the big dollar difference. Sometimes you get what you pay for
There are companies out there that take used wheels and refurbish them and resell them as "all-new".This page on the AFS wheel site may give you some information regarding the AFS wheels and what work goes into them.

I have AFS wheels on both my 92 and 87 and the black GS Style wheels on the 87 do autocross and track day duty and are holding up with no problems at all.
