86 pace car interior screws

86 pace car interior screws

I bought a 86 pace car and found that the screws on the inside of the car are all thumb screws. I have not seen these before on any corvette and was wondering if these are original. I have a complete set of interior screws but wnat to make sure that I am replacing them with the correct screws. Can anyone help before I might make a big mistake?

To the best of my knowledge the pace car used the regular production black oxide screws with the phillips head. Maybe one of the previous owners put thumbscrews in to try to combat squeaks and rattles.

There is nothing special about a 86 Pacecar, beside it comimg with decals in a box and a Indy 500 emblem by the ac/heater controls.
Coupes and Verts had the same type screws.
