Dana 44 question
I found this Dana 44 on ebay and was wondering what the difference between the 84 - 87 rears were as compared to the 88-96. Can this work in a later model?

The 4 bolts used to hold the lower strut rods( camber ?) at the 5 and 7 oclock positions are smaller diameter on the pre 88 years. To use an earlier model in a later year will involve drilling these 4 holes slightly larger to fit your 88 and later bolts. The exact size escapes me as it has been a few years. Match up the shank of your bolt for the snug fitting drill bit. Dont drill the hole too large as it will allow the brackets to deflect under load.
