can't decide whether i want to spend the money i love this car but
is this the start of bigger things???????????????????
Are you sure you are not seeing vapor. In a cold climate or when it is cool and humid and you start up a car you will see steam or water vapors from the exhaust until it warms up enough to vaporize the water.
My guess is with such low milage you condense a lot of moisture in the pipes and mufflers.
Usually if you are burning oil it is blue in color and hangs in the air, but if it is moisture it is usually gray or white and disipates quickly. The other color from an exhaust is black (overrich fuel mixture).
If you are wondering if the climate is causing this to happen watch the other cars around you expecially the ones that have dew on the window as if they have just been started. I will bet you will see them doing the same thing you are.
it's black in color i have black stuff all over the back of the car
IMO if the exhaust is black its because its running rich during warm up. Could be dirty injectors. You might want to try some injector cleaner in the tank before you spend a lot of money trying to figure this out. I like to try the easy stuff first. If it doesn’t work you are only out the price of the injector cleaner. Hope this helps. Tim
