Getting ready to have my heads redone. I'm wondering what the best header to bolt up to the new heads are? I would like to be able to hook up all the emission stuff that's currently attached to the stock manifolds. Pics if you have them.

I think it is going to be a toss up between EM and TPIS. I recently did a search for Hookers and all I could find is shorties.. which are a complete waste of time. EM is a supporting vendor and frequently runs GP's for us... I'm a huge fan of TPIS so it all comes to personal preference.

Talked with the guy at EM today.
They are closing the GP in the next day or two.
I was quoted $671 for a set for my LT4.
I'm sticking with the TPIS order I put in earlier!
I'm just starting to look into it as it was something I had planned on a little further down the road. My thinking now is, I really only want to have to tune it once and if I wait to do the headers, it'll have to be tuned again.

EM and TPIS are both top notch headers. You can also look at Stainless Works headers, also a premium quality piece and a supporting vendor. That's about it for LT1/4 headers with the correct emissions hookups.
I have EM's on my '93 and the fit and finish is top notch! As a matter of fact, I sold my brand new TPiS longtubes in order to get in on a GP a couple of years ago.
The one thing I noticed about the TPiS headers is that there was a lot of flashing built up around the primaries. I didn't feel like grinding on a new set of longtubes so off they went!
I'd get in on that EM group purchase ASAP if you want really good headers for a reasonable price.

I don't seem to see anything on a GP. Someone mind sending me a link?

I'm curious as to what you are paying for the TPIS headers. Also, when you get them installed with any other mods, please keep me posted on the turn out. With your choice of cams, I'm dying to see what kind of power you produce
Damn those are some nice headers. Did you notice any HP gain and if so how much? Those have to be some of the best damn headers I have ever seen. Thanks for the info btw.
Your pic really has me wondering, which version do you have? The early ones or the newest ones? They told me they no longer offer the ones on the website and the newer ones were better. I have a Canton oil pan as well and was really concerned with clearance issues. Doesn't look to be a problem from what I see.
Anyone else,
EM also advised they send pipe with their new version that allows you to hook the headers up to the stock resonater. Has ANY one done this? I'm really interested in do this myself if it's truly possible. I'm also wondering if there is enough room left if this pipe were to be cut out to weld in some bullet cats (which I already have).
