SES after gutting precats

SES after gutting precats
Just had pre cats gutted on my 91 and after driving for about 10 mins, the SES light now comes on. The car does not run any differrently and there is no code being flashed...Any thoughts??

Check all the sensor connections near the exhaust manifolds. I would be on the O2 sensor being disconnected, or the knock sensor disconnected. Gutting your precats will not lead to a SES light.

Check for a loose or missing connection due to the recent work done; gutting/removing the pre-cats will not cause the problem, as I now run with no pre-cats and have no SES problem.
