I installed bosh injectors in my 1990 and they work fine. I however have a ticking that seems to come from the area of the injectors. Using a mechanics stethescope the ticking is evident at all injectors as well as around the fuel rails. The ticking sounds similar to a lifter but a little more tinny. The sounld does not appear to come from the valve trail. You can hear the ticking from inside the car with the window open. Any Ideas? Has anyone had an injector tick loudly?
Just replaced my injectors a couple of weeks ago on my 91 with bosch injectors, your right , they are a hell of alot more noisy than the originals. The guy where I bought mine from at five-o-motor sports said this is normal.

Once had an exhaust leak on my Jeep Cherokee. There was a crack in the exhaust manifold. It made a sound similar to a noisy lifter. (Welding the manifold cured the problem).
When I bought my Corvette, I heard the same sound when the windows are down. Took it to a muffler shop and asked them to check for a manifold leak. They said it was the injectors. (I didn't believe them).
Took it to another muffler shop and to a dealership, they said it was the injectors too.
I was thinking of getting mine from 5 O also....but now Iam a bit weary....I don't mind how mine are right now....and they do tick a little loud.....but I really don't want them getting any louder....how loud over stock are we talking? One guy posted said a hell of a lot louder....hmmmmmmmmmmmm
Yeah, they are alot louder. To the point where I thought something was wrong after replacing them. Although anly 3 of my original injectors were working. So there was virtually no ticking before.
