Default fuel line quest
on a 91 TPI the inlet pipe for the fuel has the regulator on it right?

yes. The regulator is mounted to the rear of the fuel rail, on the right side of the engine, just in front of the distributor.

The correct answer is no. The fuel inlet is the pipe that goes right into the front end of the passenger side fuel rail. The line out of the regulator is the fuel return. Had to check Helms and Probst's Corvette Fuel Injection and both agree.
