Default Transmission Question

I have a 86 Vette with the Doug Nash 4+3 speed transmission I am looking at getting the fluid and filter change done aswell as gasket replacement. I went to the dealer and they said that there is no pan gaskets or filter for this transmission is this true or false. Any info on the topic would be of great help.

Thanks

Not for the 4, but definitely for the OD. My parts book shows a "screen", part number, 14082735. My Helms shows the procedure for changing the "filter". There is, in fact, no gasket listed and the Helms says to use RTV. Just like between the diff and the batwing. Run that part number past your dealer, and see what he says. The actual part may be elusive, as they were only used from 1984 to 1988, and only in Corvettes.

RACE ON!!!

Absolutely wrong. There is a gasket and filter for that car. Chev discontinued it, but it is availlable after market.
Good luck.
