I believe I have this right. If you check out the type of module on the summit site, you will notice that it is for a FOUR pin GM HEI setup. You, on the other hand have a computer controlled SEVEN pin setup on the Vette. The two are not compatable from what I can gather. I am unsure if MSD has an upgrade module for a 7 pin. I have a copy of the MSD Wiring Diagram book and it shows a hook-up for an MSD 6 series ignition to a 7 pin module, but nothing is said about a 7 pin upgrade for the Vette type of computer controlled distributor. From all I can see, this won't work on your Vette.
After closely looking at the link you can see that it says the upgrade is for "1967-2000 5.7, Not Computer Controlled." But when I searched for it, it showed that it fit my car. Oh well, I ended up using the HEI coil and rotor from it, the cap and module cannot be used however. My mistake for not reading the fine print.
