My 95 LT1 is dripping at the drain plug. I tried changing to a new rubber surround washer but to no avail. Is this common and what is the fix?

If you are talking about the oil plug seal, I think you will have better luck using a teflon/nylon washer. Did you hit the bottom of your oil pan over a speed bump and deform it?

You can find one of these washers at any decent hardware store.

Never touched the bottom of the pan on anything. I thought the rubber seal type was factory. Will try the teflon types. Thanks.

You should be able to find the correct nylon washer at any parts store. Same size that Chevy has used forever. Sometimes a copper washer will work well too for problem plugs.

I would avoid rubber plug gaskets. They can distort or split while being tightened and can easily leak.
