Tranny "buzzing" noise???

Default Tranny "buzzing" noise???
My '89 has a buzzy sound that come on after the car has been started and has sat idling for about 4-5 minutes. It almost sounds like it's coming from the tailshaft area (??) . I put it in park, drive, and reverse, and the sound remains constant. Does anyone have any ideas on this one???

PS...I believe this is a 700r4 tranny with about 150K on it.

Usually you hear 700r4's "buzz" in reverse. It's caused by the oil pressure regulator. Maybe you're having a pressure problem (too high). Just a guess...

Is this a BAD thing?? Cause it sure as hell sounds like it! Has anyone ever changed one of these bad mamba-jambas?
