Window problems
The window got nearly all the way up and then there was a loud grinding sound. The window will go nearly all the way down, then a different grinding sound, but not as loud. It does, however work in the middle. Anyone else have this problem?

Grinding sounds are not good; you need to pull the inner door panel to see what's up in there before some damage is done or you get stuck with the window part way down.

Well if the window is stuck and won't move at all my guess would be that the regulator has failed, most likely where the gear is linked to the scisor.
If you find that to indeed be the problem you can get a new regulator from Contemporary Corvette, link on my site.

After removing the panel I could see where repair work had been done to the inside of the door. So, I guess it was hit and that would explain my fittment issues. I got the window all the way up, but could not see the motor. Should I get just the motor or the regulator.
