auto trans shift problem
simply put my 89 sometimes is not wanting to shift until 45 but i think it is rpm dependant. only intermintant(sp) did sound rough in od from 40 to 50 so left in d until now which it doesnt make a difference. valve sticking? torque convertor? ideas?

Service the trans (drop pan, replace filter and fluid) and top off with a quart of TransX. If its a valve or something similar sticking but its not to bad this should help. I've done it before and it worked for me. Look at it this way its a cheap thing to try before taking it somewhere.

i have seen some shift kits like transgo or b&m would they be worth putting in do they come with any new valves because i have also seen something like a bigger than stock valve of some kind for sale any pics of stuff put in? i do already have a filter and gasket for a fluid change i'll try that transx
