I am trying to install my heated o2 sensor in my '90, 6 speed. I have a relay with 12V power, ground, switched 12V and out to the sensor. The sensor is a Bosch 13077. The one that they used on the ZR1. The sensor has the black wire to ground, one white wire to ECM and other one to the relay for switched power. When I switch the power on, I can hear the relay click, but I don't think the o2 sensor is working. It should heat up, correct? It should warm up the pipe that it is in. It is 600*, I would think that you could feel that through the exhaust pipe. I guess I could pull the o2 sensor out and see if it is heating up. I just want to check to make sure that I am getting this right. Anyone?
I don't know if your sensor is the same as mine, as mine was an AC Delco. Mine had two wires that were the same and one odd wire. The odd wire went to the ECM, the two others went to power and ground repsecitvely. Polarity didn't matter because it's just a resistive heating element.
In this case what it sounds like to me is that you have the signal wire connected to ground, your ground connected to the ECM and your hot wire connected where it is supposed to but you don't have a complete circuit.

black wire to computer,
one white wire to ground and other to switched 12v source.

With mine I could leave my hand on them and they would heat up. I ran a test beforehand to make sure my connections were correct. It take a little while but they will heat right up.
