Rear sway bar install
I've read conflicting tips on installing a rear sway bar. Some people say the suspension should be unloaded (on a hoist), some say you should do it with the wheels on the ground.
For tightening the bolts through the ends of the bar, what is the right way? Or does it matter?

You can install the bar with the suspension unloaded, but you need to torque the bolts with the suspension at its normal ride height so you don't preload the bushings. I normally do this by putting jack stands under the suspension -- as long as the weight of the car is being supported by the suspension, it doesn't really matter whether you have the wheels on the ground or not.
